In 2011, after 14 years as a leading art director in the magazine industry (ReadyMade, Mother Jones, Entertainment Weekly), George McCalman opened the doors to MCCALMAN.CO in San Francisco. A Caribbean son raised in Brooklyn, he brings a unique eye to design, one that has won him numerous awards. He applies his skills as a fine artist, illustrator and graphic designer to each project. In his "spare" time he illustrates a monthly column for The San Francisco Chronicle.
