Anna Hultin of OlanderCO Embroidery
I am a wife, mama, and artist living in Loveland, Colorado where I spend my days embroidering, gardening, raising my two little boys and feeding my family. After receiving my BFA in drawing at Colorado State University I pursued drawing, sculpture, and installation. I took up embroidery in 2016 when my first son was born and I needed a much more flexible art form. I use needle and thread to create contemporary embroideries that explore the often overlooked beauty of the subtle textures and colors of the Colorado landscape. In this way, my embroidery has become a means to connect with and truly see the land I live on and the place I dwell. My deepest hope is to share that connection with others by teaching them to see their own land and place anew.
