I left a review previously, but I would like to update it.
This recipe is great, but even better as a sandwich cookie. I found that if I make a fresh batch of cookie sandwich frosting, then I can pipe it with food coloring to make beautiful and absolutely delicious spritz cookie sandwiches. I found this recipe, which is amazing with the cookies:
Whip the following together:
½ cup unsalted butter softened to room temperature
2 ½ cups powdered sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
⅛ teaspoons salt
2-3 tablespoons milk or heavy cream use 2-3 tablespoons, as needed
