My husband and I live in a small community on the rugged north coast of California. It is a two hour drive to the "big" city of Santa Rosa, CA. I started quilting in the 1990's when an aunt came to visit and asked if we had a quilt shop. I had no idea what she was talking about but I found one in a small city 1 1/2 hours north - one shop and years later, I have not stopped. I have three grown sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren and use them as often as possible with great abandon to guiltlessly collect fabric and create new quilts. I love applique but have done very little of it. I have been working on "Love Birds" from "Mixing Quilt Elements" and will begin the applique soon. I would like to learn more before I begin.
