How to Knit a Baby Blanket
If you’re new to knitting, baby projects are a great place to start — not only are they small and quick to knit, but with just a few techniques, you can create a beautiful, cuddly heirloom.

Skill level: Beginner
Yarn: Rowan All Seasons Chunky (60% cotton / 40% Acrylic Microfibre; 100g; 93 yards): 4 balls in Foam, 5 balls in Pebble, Rowan Softknit Cotton (92% cotton / 8% Polyamide; 50g; 115 yards): 1 ball in Tea Rose, split into two balls, since the yarn will be doubled (Or use approximately 900 yards of any chunky yarn you like)
Needles: 16” or 24”-long circular needles, size US 101⁄2 (use circulars instead of straight needles to accommodate the large number of cast on stitches)
Gauge: 12 stitches over 4” on size US 101⁄2 needles
Finished Measurements: 36” x 36”
