Ara Vest
Knit top-down, the Ara Vest begins with garter stitch for the yoke. The body is stockinette stitch with an intarsia detail on the back using a 1x1 rib. The rib is created by holding two yarns together, a singles worsted weight and a fingering mohair to add texture and a mesmerizing
halo effect. The same two yarns are used for the i-cord edging, creating a subtle yet vibrant contrast between the body and
edge. The armholes are accented by a few rounds of i-cord. The vest is designed to be open at the front, and the two sides do not
touch. Non-closure promotes ease of movement in the garment.
