My story is too personal and dynamic to try to provide an honest bio. I will say that the pandemic provided me with more freedom than obstacles, fortunately. The positive side of it has not been taken for granted nor has the obligation to be of help to others in less fortunate conditions left my consciousness. However, no matter how it affected anyone, it has been a time to put more energy into the "If I only had more time" list we all have.
I've been doing that and have really surprised myself. My father, sons, daughters, ex father-in-law, and ex-husband are all artists...creative and confident by nature. I've always felt that I was creative but definitely not an artist. I assumed that one had "it" or they didn't. I didn't. Until I realized how wrong I was. A few years back I took a class at Michael's with my kids. It was something very simple and practical. While there, I noticed that they were offering a beginner's drawing class. I enrolled and actually attended. That sparked the idea that some things can be learned. I shared that outcome (circles/ spheres/ shading) with my dad. He explained to me how much he seeks to educate himself to advance his skills. I will NEVER reach the levels he has, but I believed that I could learn more. Enter 2020....!!! I don't even know how many courses I've taken, but I've grown with each one. People assume that I'm naturally artistic when they see some of my products from various classes.
I still don't consider myself to be an artist in the traditional sense, but I am some sort of artist and I'm just getting started. This bug is squirming inside of me and I can't wait to see what I'm able to birth by using creativebug for a year!
