Born in Watertown, NY and raised in Baltimore, MD I started quilting just nine years ago after spending years trying various forms of crafting including paper mache, needlepoint, sewing clothes and handbags, making soap, knitting, crocheting...you name it, I've tried it. Eventually I settled on quilting and recently entered my first exhibition ever. I won third in the International Hard and Soft Exhibition! I was floored. Now my focus is on protest textile art and I'm also using quilting as a tool for protest for my thesis for my M.A. in Women's and Gender Studies at Texas Woman's University. I also have an Etsy store that only sells fabrics for quilting purposes. There are over 600 textiles on my website from designers like Kaffe Fassett, Anna Maria Horner, Tula Pink, Joel Dewberry, Amy Butler, and more. It's called Buy A Thread Fabrics...check it out!
