This two-part workshop covers carving a rubber stamp and adding that design your own ceramics. Diana shows how to transfer a motif to rubber blocks, carve the block and stamp with an underglaze. She covers making a trivet as well as turning a flat slab into a bowl. The result is a striking graphic on stoneware with all the nuance and charm of handmade prints.

This was a very informative class. The way she explained and demonstrated her carving technique was very clear, especially explaining what to do and what not to do. If you don't have experience working with clay, it would benefit ? @ you to find a beginning ceramics class or someone who can walk you through the process.
