This fun and flirty Love Note Zine begins with a single sheet of beautifully marbled paper made using shaving cream and food coloring. Bel Mills, the artist behind Scrap Paper Circus, walks you through the process and shows you how a few simple folds turns a single sheet of paper into a pretty booklet ready to fill with a heartfelt message. Open to book artists of all skill levels, this project is a wonderful way share creativity with loved ones.

Here’s what you’ll need:
To make marbled papers:
- A few sheets of white cardstock, 8-1/2" x 5-1/2"
- Two foil pans, 9" x 13"
- Shaving cream
- Food coloring
- Chopsticks
- Plastic ruler
- Large plastic spoon
- Paper towels
- Something to protect your work surface, such as canvas or newspaper
- Plastic gloves to protect skin from staining
To construct your card:
- Cutting mat and craft knife
- One piece of colored cardstock, grain short, cut to 4-3/4" x 3"
- A few sheets patterned cardstock
- Patterned papers, collage elements, rubber stamps and ink, postage, stickers, and other decorative materials
- Washi tape
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Bone folder
- Glue stick
- Double-sided tape or adhesive runner
- Optional: Paper punches, edging scissors, label maker and tape, white gel pen
