so this was great to watch, I have a question. I always measured the oils and lye and water to 120 degrees then mixed. Is this way where you add the lye water to the oils fool proof? or does it ever not work well like in the winter etc? Do you heat any of the oils that are solid first then add to the lye water?

Soapmaking explained in a simple way, and easy to understand. Good class for a person who wants to begin learning about making soap. Teacher does a good job showing how to do it!

It didn't discuss the temperature of oils/lye when mixed, how to use milk products, how to use all natural colorants (spiralina, paprika, Charcoal etc), how to rebatch soap, use of infusions, curing required for cold batch or hot batch at all. It was fine, but lacked a lot.
