Introducing CbMixtape: playlists of specific bits from different classes, grouped together by a common theme. It's a fun way to learn how one topic is approached by a variety of artists with different techniques, all rounded up in one curated mixtape. In this mixtape, learn how to draw and paint portraits of women in these five mini classes.
Use a variety of media and start with two-minute sketches to warm up your eye and hand while sketching the female face. Work alongside everday sketcher, Charlotte Hamilton. From there, create a stylized "goddess" style portrait with Lily Sol. Watch the rest of her Goddess Daily Practice to learn how to paint in your goddess portrait and add collage. If watercolor is your medium, paint a girl with a vibrant flower braid with artist and designer Carolyn Gavin. You'll learn how to draw bold strokes and create another goddess style portrait in oil pastel with Lily Sol. Finally, use your own face as a reference and make a self portrait with artist Dawline-Jane Oni-Eseleh as she paints a self portrait inspired by Hung Liu.
Inspired to keep creating? You can watch the full Daily Practice classes with each artists here:
Daily Portrait Challenge: 31 Days of Faces with Charlotte Hamilton

PDF reference photos can be found on the full class pages.

I did enjoy the class but two of the artworks were not completed. It would have been better for the classes to be a bit longer so that those two portraits could have been painted until complete to let people watch the process.
