Wife and husband team, Lindsey and Mikel, have been making luxury bar soaps since 2008 when Clean Getaway Soap Co. was born, quite by accident, thanks in part to a last minute holiday gift fair at their favorite community-supported radio station, KGNU in Boulder, CO. Since that fateful Christmas, these two have been pushing soap as a medium to its absolute limits, making affordable luxury body care with an artistic aesthetic not often seen in the world of handmade soap. Using as many local and organic ingredients as possible, Lindsey and Mikel are able to achieve subtle, rich, gorgeous bars in an ever-changing array: Scrubbing soaps, shaving soaps and smooth lathering soaps, all created with a mind toward allowing the natural ingredients to shine. Lindsey and Mikel share their living space with two kitties: Hellboy and Dr. Doom.
